Question: Going rate for housecleaning in south bend indiana?

Looking for the going rate for independently contracting residential cleaning such as rentals for move outs rehabs commercial cleaning such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, laundry areas in apartments or community living facilities, or weekly cleaning for occupied residents. I offer carpet cleaning I have my own steam cleaner and supply all my own cleaning products. Im not sure what to charge, don't want to be to high and don't want to charge to little.

Check craigslist.com under the services section. There are several cleaning companies as well as independents who advertise along with their prices on there. That should let you know what the market is set at. Its also a great source of advertising for you as well.

I have a maid service that comes once a month and cleans my small one bedroom apartment. There are two girls that come and it takes them a total of 30 minutes actual cleaning time. They bring all of their own cleaning supplies, mop, broom, vacuum, etc. They do a very thorough job. I pay them $70.35 total. That is $65.00 plus tax. I do not tip them. I am in Texas. I think that is a pretty good rate as they do a very good job. Hope this helps.
