We are looking for a house to rent in conklin NY or binghamton NY has anyone seen anyhting good out there we cant find nothin thanks in advance!

Here are a few suggestions: 1] Do an on-line search for newspapers in that area. Go to the real estate section for "Houses for Rent ", "Properties for Rent ", etc. 2] Go for a ride through the areas where you would like to live. Make notes of "Sale " and "Rent " signs on properties, including the property addresses, Office and agents' names' and telephone numbers. If you see a dumpster outside a property, this means there is work going on at that property. Stop and ask if they are renting the property. If not, ask if they know of anyone renting a property in that neighborhood. Look for boarded-up properties. Houses where the grass is very high and/ or a few days after a snow storm, snow and ice are on sidewalks and steps. 3] Place an ad in that same local paper. 4] Post "Need to Rent " notices on bulletin boards in supermarkets, laundromats and other public places where there are bulletin boards. Your challenge: This is THE most difficult time of the year to find rentals. Usually it stays tough, because children are in school and no one is really taking vacations. I have looked and still don't know what to do. I am in Tn. and prices are good and inst. rates are down so I won't rent . Can't find anything to rent down here.anyway. To buy is cheaper than rent.LOL
