Hi me and my friends would like to rent a house for 3 months this summer in cape cod. We were planning on getting jobs to save money for college. Who would I speak to or what website can I use to find short term rental homes? Most sites only offer housing for weeks at a time. Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what I need to do to try and find a house that is able to be rented this entire summer. It would be 4 college students who are going to be getting jobs in the cape for the entire summer. I wanted to know what some of the starting prices are. I'm under the impression that 'suburbs' of Portland isn't defined the same as 'suburbs' here Detroit, MI . Here, everyone wants to live in the burbs because Detroit is NOT a city to visit unless you're going for a specific sporting event or Auto Show . People leave the city, they don't flock to it. So I am very excited to hear the great things about Portland Are the 'suburbs' there defined as 'where young white collar families live' as they are here? Or is the area so diverse that there are young families in every neighborhood and not just what you'd call 'suburbs' Beaverton, etc . Thanks for clarifying. I hope this isn't confusing.

What's wrong with a Cape Cod style house?
Maybe it's just a personal preference, but in looking for housing I have found a place that seems to be selling for much less than it could be worth. It looks great to me. From asking around, the reason it is selling so cheap is because it's a cape cod style and we are in the Midwest . Does this really matter? Is there some inherent flaw in this kind of style or is it really just " out of style" ?Anyway, we don't mind being not the coolest people on the block, but we don't want to get a place that has some major disadvantage that we haven't yet noticed.The low ceiling is a good point, definitely something to consider.I figure I will be sleeping in the upstairs bedrooms anyway. We will be getting an inspection to find any particular issues with this particular house. I am more concerned with maybe something like " they generally have poor foundations" or " they tend to have bad plumbing" or something along those lines that wouldn't be so visible.
