Without knowing where the community is, it is really hard for people to give an accurate answer. If it is an apartment complex, you can look up reviews from current and previous tenants of that complex at apartmentratings.com

New Mexico? If so it is a ghost town since the potash mines closed. Only good thing is houses are very cheap. Of course you will not be able to sell it either.
