Question: What is the best area in charlotte, nc to live in for $100,000?

I will be moving to Charlotte in a few months with my fiance and i am looking for the best place to stay for the money (sub $100, 000). We do not mind a little drive (under 45 minutes preferably). We plan on starting a family in a couple years and plan on staying at our next move for 5- 10 years. So somewhere a couple young ones could grow up also. Thanks for any advice

By stay, do you mean as in buying a house? You will not find many homes in that price range and if you do, it will not be in a neighborhood you will like. You might find something in Monroe to the SE or west in Gastonia/ Belmont. I would also check Rock Hill, SC as well.
