Posted by: Hung Phat on 2010-05-23, 14:11:43 The best way for anyone to value any property is through comparables (comps)...a real estate agent should be able to value the property you're interested in for you or you can log onto HomeGain.com to put the address in and view comps to determine a relative value. Look only at present numbers since the market has changed so much over the past couple of years. You can also learn a lot by moving through Realtor.com and checking properties that are available...in put your data and see what comes up that's similar in your zip code and you'll see comps quickly. Asking strangers what they think won't get you good numbers since real estate is very specific to region...check by your zip code to learn accurate numbers for any specific property. |

Posted by: Ed Atun on 2010-05-23, 15:37:20 $400,000 if it is level and buildable. There are hundreds of wild-cards when buying land. If it does not have utilities, it might be worth $250,000. If it is near luxury homes and main roads, it is worth $1Million. If it can be split into 10 different lots that can be re-sold, it is worth $1.5 Million. |
