I needed some cash short term and foolishly took out a payday loan (twice this year when needed). I had no problems paying it back but since I took out the last loan I have now lost my job! Trying to find another one now but does not help me when the company need to take money out of the month. I have contacted CAB for advice but after 2 weeks of waiting still nothing. Where do I stand with the company - I do want to pay it but obviously I cant pay it off comletely. Can anybody help

Payday loans have annual interest rates around 500%, they are a horrible idea for exactly this situation. You will get no help and it will cost you a few times the amount borrowed to pay it back. You can actually get better rates from organized crime than you do with payday loans.

Hello You would definately be best speaking to the company in question, most will offer to freeze any interest and charges should you contact them before the due date. Of course te cash will still need to be paid back to the company, however, most companies understand that these things do happen and are willing to enter in to a payment plan until you get yourself back on your feet. My suggestion would be to contact them now to keep the overall cost down for yourself. Thanx
